Where does almost all energy on Earth come?

The majority of electricity on a global scale comes from the combustion of coal. But, if you care to take it a level further, even all of the non-renewable fossil fuels were created from compressed decomposed organic matter and the core basis for it’s energy content is solar. The only three energy sources that aren’t completely based on solar (be it in the present or prehistorically) are Tidal (Gravity), Geothermal and Nuclear.
