Where do we get the chemicals that are in a car?

    Few people realize this, but almost all of them are made from oil. That includes all the plastics, paints, adhesives, coatings, tires, greases and fluids, and so on. Pretty much everything besides the metals, glass, and occasional wood and leather interior comes from oil.

    P.S. The citation for this would be four years of chemical engineering education.
