Most cockatoos (which are a type of parrot) are mostly native to the southeastern part of the globe, hailing from countries like Malaysia, Papua New Guinea and Australia. The well-known sulphur-crested cockatoo (white with a bright yellow crest) is found in all eastern parts of Australia, along the northern coast, in the south and in Tasmania.
