“Beavers live in streams, rivers, marshes, ponds, and shorelines of large lakes throughout North America, parts of Europe, and Asia.”
Beavers live in ponds, lakes, rivers, marshes, and streams throughout the United States. The only parts of the United States that are uninhabited by beavers are Florida and parts of California and Nevada.
I’m not cursing, but they live in dams. not the human-made dams, but dams made of sticks and mud. (thats probably why they have those large teeth!)
Beavers build dams in streams, rivers, lakes, and other bodies of water out of sticks and logs, though their preferred spot is “streams in shallow valleys, where the flooded area becomes productive wetlands.”
