Members of the badger family are found in North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. In North America, badgers live mostly in the Great Plains part of the continent. They can also be found in parts of the western US, however, as well as some areas in Canada and in the mountains of Mexico. The best habitat for badgers is open, dry areas, including grasslands and pastures.
