Where can mountain bluebirds be found?

Mountain bluebirds can be found in the western portion of North America. They range from eastern Kansas all the way to California, and then from Mexico all the way north to Alaska. They like mountain meadows with short trees, grasses, and bushes, and prefer more open space than most bluebirds. They also don’t mind cold winters, but generally migrate a little further south than where they normally live.
