There are a few steps to take to become a LEED inspector. The qualifications for a LEED inspector (according to Ever Blue Training Institute, who does this certification) are that you must meet one of the following requirements:
Involvement in support of a LEED-registered project OR
Employment in a sustainable field of work
Engagement in an education program that addresses green building principles. (Everblue’s classes meet this requirement.)
Once one of these requirements is met, you must pass the LEED exam in the specific field you are wanting to become an inspector in. The test is 100 questions and based on a scale between 125 and 200. A 170 is required to pass.
