Where are toucans from?

    Toucans live in the rainforests of Central and South America at elevations up to 10,000 feet. Most species of toucan live in the Amazon rainforest and surrounding areas.

    According to National Geographic, Toucans are native to South American rainforests (not Central America). The map on the link below shows their range as mostly in the central and eastern coast of the continent. Their excellent looking bill is a adapted for feeding and mating purposes. Male and female toucans are known to toss food to one another as part of the mating ritual.
