Where are the places most at risk in the world from climate change rising sea levels?

    The places that are most at risk from rising seas levels are those with large coastal populations, such as Bangladesh, for example, and those on small islands that are very flat. There are many small islands in the South Pacific that have a high point less than 10 meters above sea level. These islands could mostly or entirely disappear if sea levels continue to rise.

    It’s hard to say which country is the “most” in danger because there are a lot of things that that could mean. However, the Maldives are under a great threat from rising sea levels. Due to the expansion of water as it warms, a third of the islands that comprise the Maldives are being overtaken by ocean waters.
