The Sahara Desert incurs the world’s largest dust or sand storms ever year, due to the growing size of the desert. As farmers use up more soil on the southern rim of the desert, the size of the dried up areas of land increase causing larger dust storms to occur in combination with the already large area of sand dunes the desert possesses.
