Lake Trout can be found in water about 55 degrees Fahrenheit or below. Typically they are inhabitants of the frigid deep Canada’s north, or in Lake Michigan. In warm summer months, Lake Trout can be found as deep as 200 feet or wherever the coldest possible water temperature is. The may as be referred to as the laker, salmon trout, lake char, toulandi, mackinak, gray trout, forktail trout, tuite grise, or many other names.
