Even though El Azizia, Libya’s hottest temperature was recorded in 1922, it still is true today. The air temperature was recorded reaching up to 136F. This arid desert is located close to the equator and has little vegetation to protect it. Libya, Algeria, Iran, and Death Valley are considered some of the hottest places in the world.
