Geckos most often are found in tropical regions and in warmer regions of the world. These unique lizards first originated from Southern Asia, from the countries of Pakistan and India, specifically the Northwestern area of India.
There are over 800 different species of geckos and they exist on every continent except Antarctica.
Geckos come from all over the world, depending on the species. For instance, Bibron’s gecko is a species from Southern Africa. The Crocodile Gecko is from the mediterranian region. Other types of gecko’s are found in Pakistan, Vietnam, Hawaii, the Caribbeans, Southwestern U.S, and Southeast Asia.
