There is only one active diamond mine in the US and it is located in the Crater of Diamonds State Park near Murfreesboro, in Pike County Arkansas. It produces a few hundred carats of diamonds per year and has been doing so since the 1970’s but this is a very small amount of the diamonds produced world wide.
Besides the location in Arkansas, diamonds have been found and were produced commercially (I think) for a year or two in the Laramie Mts along the Wyoming-Colorado border.
