The North Shore of the island of Oahu is considered a “Mecca” for surfers around the world, as it regularly produces some of the biggest waves in the world. The average wave height during peak season (November – February) is 16 feet. But on many days, an average of 20 days per peak season, the waves reach 35-50 feet tall. The island’s ideal spot in the middle of the Pacific allow for winds and swells that make Hawaii the perfect spot for catching waves.
