When you describe a physical property you are describing a tangible characteristic, something that can be seen and felt.  For example describing that an animal has spines is describing a physical property.  This is true of all components of science.

When describing physical properties you are describing an object’s weight, state, mass, color, and other characteristics of the object’s appearance. To give a negative definition, a physical property is a characteristic that is not a chemical property. Chemical properties describe an object’s chemical composition and potential to undergo change in its chemical structure.
