It is believed that Lake Mead, Las Vegas’ water supply, will run out within 13 years unless we cut back on our usage. A study conducted by the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California San Diego found that there was a 10 percent chance the lake will run dry in six years and a 50% probability it will be gone by 2021.
The first article predicts the supply will run out after 2010. The second predicts Las Vegas has until 2021 to maintain a normal water supply.
