when we recycle how much of it really get reused?

I always wonder why new things are made constantly when there are a lot of cities that require recycling, like Ft. Worth, TX. Does all that trash really get recycled?

Only about one-tenth of US garbage gets recycled every year when over half of it can be reused.

Well unfortunately the recycling industry has taken a downturn due to the recession.  Many recycling plants are having to stockpile some items, such as cardboard, because there simply isn’t demand for the resale.  Fortunately, the companies aren’t just throwing the leftovers in the dump and are actually waiting for the economy to recover.  The actual recycling efficiency differs depending on the product though, and not 100% of hardly any product can be reused after being recycled.
