A team of scientists from Conservation International, A Rocha International and Papua New Guinea’s Institute for Biological Research spent two months in New Guinea and discovered more than 200 new species. They discovered the Yoda bat on this very same trip, taken in 2009. The tube-nosed fruit bat was found in Papau New Guinea’s Nakanai and Muller mountains.
