The PACE program was established in California on the 21st of April, 2010. The day before Earth Day, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger passed the legislation for the entire state. PACE stands for Property Assessed Clean Energy and the program was set in place in order to ensure businesses and homeowners can save money while keeping energy usage down. This eco-friendly program also created a state-financed reserve of up to $30 million from the Renewable Resources Trust Fund.
