The last time we came close to having a severe nuclear incident was in 2006, when thirty-five milliliters of an enriched uranium solution were leaked at a plant in Erwin, Tennessee. Although occassionally accidents do happen, the biggest problem with this incident was that it was covered up by the parent company, preventing the nearby towns from finding out and beiing able to take appropriate precautions.

    I hope this helped!
