When was the first fight that we know of over water?

The Nile River’s flooding and flow has changed dramatically over the centuries, and as farming villages dried out this may have caused fighting. The Tigris and Euphrates river deltas had excellent soil for growing crops, but as water levels changed the fighting increased. In 2550 B.C. King Eannatum of Lagash attacked the city of Umma and demanded they hand over irrigated land.
