Tesla has confirmed that the Model S, the world’s first premium electric mid-size sedan, is on schedule to be delivered to the public in mid-2012. Though a fully refundable $5,000 reservation for the Model S can be made, they are currently no longer available. In fact, over 6,500 reservations have signed so far. The electric car has a starting price of $49,900, which includes a $7,500 federal tax credit.
