    I am not sure what you mean, because surface tension is a characteristic of real life, so it is always found in real life. For instance, surface tension is a property of liquid that allows it to resist external force, therefore some objects can float on the surface of water even though they are denser. So a water strider and other such insects can run on the surface of water. Even in materials science, surface tension is used for surface stree or surface free energy.
