Theory IS fact. The word is commonly misunderstood to mean something that has not been proven, but according to Webster’s, theory is “the analysis of a set of facts in their relation to one another.” When scientists refer to the theory of evolution, they are not referring to the controversies over whether or not evolution occurred, but rather talking about the entire scope of evolution, from the facts about the big bang to the facts about dinosaurs. Theory is a group of facts that intertwine with/relate to each other. Make sense?
