Profitability could certain happen in order to create grain to fuel and wean ourselves off of oil but at this point it’s too expensive. Not enough consumers have made the switch and it will be expensive to mass-produce and develop the technology and we have a sort of catch-22 where both the consumers and the industry NEED to ultimately change (with oil prices rising and supply declining) but neither will spend the money to make it happen. Either the government is going to have to step in and create incentives, the supply of oil will have to be completely exhausted, or consumers will have to start putting their money towards the technology while it’s expensive for the idea to catch on.
