when does development becomes a problem?

    That’s a big question!

    When rapid industrial development is paired with unchecked population growth without the presence of environmental protection laws (or with insufficient regulations), this is when development becomes a problem. Obviously economic growth is a good thing, but most of what we see in the world today is unsustainable in both its abuse of human resources and natural resources.
