Glass bottles of Coke and other products are still available to day, but their availability has diminished drastically. The aluminum can was popularized in soda drinks in the early 80’s. Until the mid to late 90’s glass bottles could be bought in vending machines and most convenient stores across America.

The 90’s however saw a rise in the use of the aluminum can as shipping and stocking of cans were easy for vendors. This lead to lower costs associated with the product which caused a steady decline in the use of the glass bottle.
