When did we stop doing human testing for the affects of plutonium?

The Plutonium Injection Studies only really happened in 1945, although studying their results went from the 1950s to the 1970s. The experiment was designed to determine the maximum load of plutonium radiation a human body could endure, so workers at the amnhattan Project could be pulled out before they got too high a dose. Still, it is considered one of the most unethical medical experiments conducted in the US, as it is quite possible that the test subjects weren’t told what was happening to them.
