When did we start putting BPA in our plastics?

    BPA was invented in 1891 and was not used in plastics until 1940s and 1950s. Check out the link for a history.

    BPA was invented in 1891, and it was used to manufacture polycarbonate (hard plastic) during the 1940s and 1950s.  Eventually, BPA started to appear in products such as bike helmets, water coolers, and baby bottles.
