    The National Coast Anti-Pollution League was formed on August 11, 1922.  Gifford Pincot, Teddy Roosevelt’s conservation advisor, was elected President.  The meeting took place in Atlantic City and their main goal was to prevent further oil dumping in the Atlantic.
