What’s the differents between arctic foxes and arctic wolves?

    Size is definitely one difference. The Arctic fox can weigh from 6-10 pounds while the wolf can weigh 75-120 pounds. The arctic fox has the warmest fur of any mammal compared to the arctic wolf. Click the links for more comparisons. Hope this helps!

    In addition to size differences, wolves being larger than foxes, these animals belong to different genera.  The Arctic Wolf is of the genus Canis, which includes wolves, jackals, coyotes, and domestic dogs.  The Arctic Fox is unique to the genus Alopex, though is sometimes placed in the genus Vulpes, which includes other foxes. 

    Both animals live in arctic regions of the Northern Hemisphere, and both are carnivores, though the Arctic Fox is more of an opportunistic eater.
