The 2012 Mitsubishi i-MiEV has been ranked the most fuel-efficient car of the year. Mitsubishi claims that the car gets 112 MPG, which is slightly higher than the Nissan Leaf’s 99 MPG. It’s a compact car and has an estimated annual fuel cost of $540. They’re sold for around $30,000, and the U.S. government offers a tax incentive which takes $7,500 off the purchase price.
