Formerly known as the Yukon Territory, the Yukon is the smallest and the westernmost federal territory in Canada.
There is also a river called the Yukon. Its headwaters start in British Columbia. It flows through the Yukon Territory and empties in the Bering Sea in Alaska. The poet, Robert Service, was greatly inspired by this region.
