My favorite conservation story is about the Community Baboon Sanctuary in Belize. Villagers came to an agreement on land management in order to ensure the success of the Howler Monkey population in Belize.

I like the Przewalski’s horse. They only had a handful of individuals in captivity when all of the individuals in the wild were killed. They were bred and released in Mongolia where they were native and now there are hundreds of them, reproducing and living in healthy populations. I like them because I like to think that there are some wild horses still and wild places where they can live peacefully with the humans.
