My favorite green bill is the High Speed Rail bill for the State of California. It passed in the general election about two years ago. The premise of the bill is to build a high speed rail system that will transport people up and down the state in half the time or more it takes currently on a car and more effeciently than on a plant. Unfortunately it is currently in danger of not being implemented because of lack of funding support, NIMBY attitudes expressed by many small cities along the proposed route and long timeline. There just isn’t any overwhelming support for the project at this point, so this bill might not come into fruitation at least not in the next twenty years
