Well this is a very interesting, but more of a what if question. I would guess that we wouldn’t be as developed as we are now, fossil fuels made most of what we enjoy today happen, like cars. Now of course before the fossil fuel was discovered the industrial revolution already began, mostly powered by steam engines. Just recently did steam engines come into the spotlight again as some researchers claim it’s efficiency can be improved beyond that of modern cars. This would mean that if fossil fuels haven’t been discovered more time and money would have been spent on improving other energy sources, such as steam. We might have been better off if we look at it from the environmental side, but we would also be lacking some of our goods today.
