What would happen to lemurs if their ecosystem changes?

The Lemur’s ecosystem is already changing, due to rampant deforestation which has destroyed 80% of their natural forest habitat. This could lead to them moving into human cities, adapting to an urban environment, or even going extinct.

    I hope this helped!

Lemurs are native to Madagascar, the large island off the east side of Africa. Habitat for these interesting mammals is being lost at a very fast rate. Because lemurs live no where else in the world they may go extinct if they continue to lose their habitat. Several species already greatly reduced in population size and are endangered.

Efforts are being made to stop habitat destruction for lemurs, but much more must be done. Lemurs have no where else to live and loss of habitat takes away their shelter, foods, mates…all things essential for life.
