What would building the sunrise powerlink do to the environment?

Where is it, what would they have to destroy to build it, and what would be the cost environmentally?

The Sunrise Powerlink is located in the Imperial Valley and is designed to provide solar energy to San Diego. It is part of a larger energy project sponsored by the SDG&E to provide energy both efficiency and draw from environmentally sources. The economic cost of the project is $1.883 billion. Please check out the first link for a map of the area. I have also attached the state of California’s final environmental impact report on the project.
