There are a few negative aspects of wind energy, particularly in the use of windmills and wind turbines. These include, depreciation of property values where wind farms are located, adverse effects on tourism, disproportionate tax benefits for wind factories, damage to nearby wildlife including flying animals, ineficiency and soil degredation.
While wind energy is a great clean energy source, there are several cons on the pros/cons list. These include the fact that constructing and maintaining turbines can be extremely expensive, turbines require constant speeds (usually a minimum of 9-13 mph), and wind farms are subject to great variability.
