What is the worst part of fishing for the environment?

Overfishing has tremendous impact on the environment, reducing diversity. Non-selective fishing endangers birds, turtles, dolphins and other animals that are thrown back dead when they inadvertently get caught in nets. Some fishing practices use poisons and dynamite which are particularly damaging for coral reefs. Dumping gear overboard is also a big problem, and emissions from boats and processing plants are also an issue. This combination of impacts makes it difficult to determine which is most damaging, though on a larger scale (overfishing) all these problems are amplified.
