The most shocking aspect of the Pacific Garbage Patch is that its size is go enormous. Its size is so large and it is entirely made of garbage, which is why this is shocking! Within the patch, the areas containing plastics are the worst parts. Although plastic debris individually are very tiny, they accumulate to add up to large amounts. This plastic is then consumed by marine life, which poses dangers to humans as we eat seafood.
