In the 1931 China floods, the majority of China’s major rivers – including the Yangtze, the Yellow River and the Huai river – all flooded. The resulting death toll is estimated to be somewhere between 3.7 and 4.0 million, making the 1931 China floods both the deadliest natural disaster of the 20th century and the worst natural disaster in Chinese history.
