In July of 2009, a team of 300 people took on the challenge of planting the most trees in 24 hours. They planted 541,176 trees on two islands off the coast of Pakistan. Surprisingly, it only took roughly 13 hours for them to complete their goal. They wanted to break the world record set the previous month in India, where 447,874 trees were planted within 24 hours.
