What will happen to our oceans if the gulf kills all of our shrimp?

The consequences of this happening could potentially be very devastating. Because shrimp are pretty low on the food chain, they are basically supporting all the animals above them. If all the shrimp are killed, the animals that usually eat them will be out of a food source and may die of starvation, the animals that eat those will starve, and so on. Ultimately, this domino effect will reach humans because we also take food from the sea.
