What will happen if the Asian carp are not controlled by humans?

Asian carp are an invasive species that eat every kind of underwater dwelling plant. They completely devastate lakes if introduced. Lucky for you, I did a research report on this subject! The example I found was Malheur Lake in Oregon. This Lake and its connecting lakes were used a center for migratory birds. Asian Carp were mysteriously introduced and within one year, almost all the Sago Pond Weed in the lake (which the birds eat) was gone and the lake was pure Carp. This disrupted the birds migration pattern and is thought to have lead to some low numbers in reproduction during 2009.
