The Wegman committee investigated disputing reports that two historical temperature studies. These studies were used in the U.N.’s study of climate control.
The study found that certain statistical methods were misused. This produced inappropriate temperature shapes in the temperature history.
It also found that many researchers had been sharing work and reused data sets.
The committee also says that authors of related science assessments should not assess their own work.
The committee also suggests that a policy related study on climate should have a level of scrutiny and review.
