I would have to say the carnivorous plant species, such as the Venus Flytrap. These plants actually get nutrients from eating small animals such as insects. There are various mechanisms which carnivorous plants use to catch their prey. For instance, certain plants create a bladder like tube which sucks insects in like a vaccum. Other plants have a sticky substance which catches insects an begins digesting them with enzymes. But the strangest ones, in my opinion, are plants like the flytrap that use rapid leaf movements to snap down on the insect like a mouth.
