The cave paintings in Australia correspond to the Aboriginal culture, which has been there long before any of the English prison colonies and settlers came. Much like the Native Americans in North America, they are now scattered tribes among the current Australian population. Like many old cultures around the world, they used rock art to tell stories, rituals, and and depictions of religious annotations. The paints also represented daily life for these people all that time ago, from hunting to interacting with their gods, whom evidently had animals heads like ancient Egyptian gods. Since the culture did not have an established written language, everything was told through art and oral storytelling.
