This refers to a time in human history when tools were becoming more prevalent around what is modern day Europe. It has two main stages, Châtelperronian and Gravettian. The first was said to have started in Southwest Asia, and moved its way to France. It is characterized by saw toothed blades and stone blades with one sharp side and one dull side. The second stage saw these tools become weapons as the people of France Italy and Russia hunted wild horses and reindeer to near extinction. The time frame for this part of our history is around 25 000 BC
